Tunisia vs England

An absolutely terrible second half display by England. The tempo slowed down, and many players went a missing. A corner seemed to be the only way to be able to score, height being the advantage but they also seemed well coached in set pieces.

This England team is crying out for some wingers. Rashford needs to be given a starting birth and preferebaly in a wide position to take advantage of his ability to get past players. This England team playing so narrow with Ashley Young being right footed, they just didn’t seem to be a way to outflank this Tunisia team. There were only half hearted efforts to penetrate via 1-2’s and third man runs in behind which is always hard against a deep lying compact defense. Alli and Sterling I don’t think fit their positions either. I prefer Sterling wide, and Alli in behind Kane. Kane is having to provide for others in open play rather than getting on the end of things many times as well.

Another set piece late goal masking the issues faced by big nations to break down opponents. England’s young guns seem unable to put the ball into the net. Only Kane seems able to do it. A few issues that need to be discussed before the next game.

A promising first half followed by a worrying one. England’s world class Harry Kane is surrounded by potential. Whilst Lukaku at Belgium is surrounded by class.
